This week we'll focus on some of the exciting fashion coming out of America, with four classically trained designers who choose to work in latex.

Vex Clothing has been on the scene for several years by now, and has made quite a name with their custom designs worn by everyone like KumiMonster, RubberDoll, Emily Marilyn, Masumi Max and our own 3XL. The lines are a creative mix of fetish and fashion, using uncommon to fetish color combinations and techniques. They've recently moved into larger quarters. Betty La Bamba is a talented designer working out of New York City. For several years now she's had an eBay store where you can purchase her well made latex separates and accessories. You can also buy Betty La Bamba latex at her spiffy new Etsy store.

Lots of great things are coming Renee Masoomian's way since we last visited her. Renee was recently nominated for best newcomer at the 2008 European Fetish Awards, and she'll be presenting a selection of her designs at Torture Garden's Skin Two Night in September.

There are two ranges--Baby Love's Latex, a vintage-inspired pin-up line, and Soliloquy, her higher end range of custom made pieces. The custom made line really impressed me!

You may remember Maggie Delena Designs from an earlier post. Recently I checked out their eBay store, where there were several lovely womens pieces. It also looks like a menswear line is to be launched in the very near future!

So, there you have it: 4 great labels destined to dispel that tired old notion that nothing exciting comes out of America anymore.

Xozt Fetish Latex (LINK REMOVED DUE VIRUS ON SITE!) is a personal webpage created by a rubber loving couple from Russia, where you'll find lots of free photos of their fabulous latex life. The site is smartly designed with simple navigation menus that guides the user through their galleries as well as a catalogue of third-party fetish videos. The photos clearly portray the enthusiasm these two have for their favorite fetish material and the joy they get from sharing it with the world. I for one think it's really cool to see sites like this popping up, personal pages from people in far flung lands, who enjoy nothing more than to share their love of latex with us. Heart wrenching and poignant, "Davy's Story," is a short film directed by John Le Brocq, centering on the plight of Davy, a rather lonely submissive rubberist, who wants only to be played with. One glimpse of the longing in his hooded eyes made me realize just how fortunate some of us are to have someone to share our perversions with and how important it is not to take that for granted. It's not all sour times for our rubbery hero however, by film's end it seems he has found someone to play with him, in the person of a coolly alluring Lady Onna, who finally gags Davy to close the film. We can only imagine his fate beyond the closing credits...

Rubber Passion is a new paysite devoted to displaying the kinky goings on of Lucy, a female English rubberist with a thing for tight, rubber restriction, hoods and bondage. I think Lucy has done a lot of modeling for Rubber55, as I see from her photos that she wears their latex exclusively and I recognize the photo of her in the frilly, transparent outfit from their site. She cuts a striking figure, as the rubber looks great enveloping her sexy form from head to toe.

While she doesn't offer any preview videos yet on the site, she does offer a number of free photos for us to perv out on while we ponder whether or not to plunk down the $29.95 $24.95 a month for a membership. As it stands now, the verdict is still out on Rubber Passion, but we'll be sure to check back again with her in the near future to see how her site has grown.

Love Larceny Latex... That's the tagline for the new film, "Walk All Over Me," premiering in Canada this weekend and hopefully the rest of the world very soon.

Directed by Canadian filmmaker, Robert Cuffley and starring Leelee Sobieski of "Eyes Wide Shut" fame and "Battlestar Galactica" babe, Trisha Helfer, "Walk All Over Me" is the story of a small town ingenue (Sobieski) looking to escape her doldrums by moving to the big city and assuming the identity of a well paid dominitrix (Helfer). Along the way mistaken identity leads to all sorts of sordid and darkly humorous hijinks as the girl comes to find her confidence and realize the power of her sexuality. Stunning and talented British designer, artist, model and fetishist Onna recently began offering her magnificant latex creations on her website, featuring some great photos of her and some lovely models exhibiting her unique take on retro and Asian inspired design. Onna's designs range from fantastic and futuristic to classic womens couture and a look at her work shows a keen use of different materials, as well as applique patterns. The multi-talented Lady Onna is also a hardcore rubber lover, who designs garments for fetishists to wear for long periods of time, which of course we fully support in our mission to rubberize the world!
