Adult Baby – play, games
Adult babies are grown ups, usually male in gender, that achieves sexual arousal from playing the role of a baby, taken care by it’s mommy, a nurse or a governess. Usually this kind of play involves clinical practices, such as enemas and anal insertion of thermometers and such.

Allergy, latex
Some people are seriously allergic to latex, and exposure to latex or rubber products such as rubber gloves or condoms can cause anaphylactic shock. A true nightmare for a latex fetishist!

American Rope Bondage – play, games
A variation of bondage where the play is done solely with rope, but differs from Shibari (an ancient and more formal Japanese technique) on the fact the bindings resemble old 30’s comic books “Damsels in Distress” themes.

Animalism – play, games
Practice in which a consenting adult plays and behaves as an animal. Animalism is a different practice from zoophily, where humans user real animals, such as dogs, in their sexual practices.

Anal Discipline, Anal Play – play, games
Game where objective is to train the bottom (male or female) into all aspects of anal sex, including but not limited to fisting, plugging for long extents of time, and anal sex. See Butt Plug and Dildo for more.

Ball hood
Inflatable hood. Used for sensory deprivation play.

BDSM
Short for "Bondage and Discipline, Sadism and Masochism". A term for sexual practices, especially involving restraint and inflicting pain.

Breath control
Restricting airflow, by strangulation, suffocation, or other means for sexual stimulation.

Breathing tube
Short rubber hose used for breathing with gasmasks and vacuum beds. A breathing tube can also be used for liquid intake play for long term enclosure.

Bondage - play, games
Bondage, and it’s myriad of variations, such as Shibari (also known as Japanese Rope Bondage ) and American rope bondage, is a collection of sensual and/or sexual harnessing techniques. The main objective is to render the harnessed person in total or partial immobilization, bounding it. Any immobilization play is a variation of bondage. Boots
Footwear consisting in a very long extension covering part or the whole leg. Male biker boots tend to be a huge fetish for gay men and straight girls, as well as long female boots with stiletto heels are one of the most popular fetishes amongst men. The long leather or rubber boots with long stiletto heels are part of the dominant female icon, the Dominatrix.

Body bag
Bondage item consisting in a long bag, used to enclose the slave for a prolonged period of time, for bondage alone of used as sensory deprivation.

Butt plug
A sex toy designed for anal penetration. Usually has a flat base, are smaller than a typical dildo and not shaped like a penis, with the objective of staying in for long periods of time, and to increase one’s capacity for anal stimulation. Usually used along with Anal Discipline.

Catheter
A catheter is any hollow thin flexible tube designed to be inserted into the body. The process of inserting a catheter is called catheterization.

Catsuit
A catsuit is a skin-tight one-piece garment with sleeves and long legs, and sometimes with feet or gloves, sometimes with a hood.

Corset
A corset is a garment worn to mold the torso into a desired shape for aesthetic purposes (either for the duration of wearing it, or with a more lasting effect). Both men and women have worn corsets. At different times throughout history, the garment has been used to exaggerate the female bust and hips and shrink the waist or to minimize these features.

Coming out (of the closet)
Term used to describes voluntarily making public one's sexual behaviors or orientation, "being out" to not concealing one's sexual behaviors or orientation, and "outing" for making public the sexual behaviors or orientation of another who would prefer to keep this information secret.

Community
Community is a set of people with some shared element. The most famous latex community is the International Association of Rubberist – website.

Condom
A sheath placed over the penis during sexual intercourse to prevent pregnancy and the transmission of disease (such as HIV) by forming a barrier and capturing the semen. Condoms are usually made of latex.

Crossdresser, CD
Person who enjoys wearing the other genders clothes. A fetish mostly found by men.

Dildo
A cylindrical sex toy, often shaped like a penis, intended for bodily interaction during masturbation or sexual intercourse.

Dildo panties
Panties made from latex with an internal dildo or butt plug.

Dominatrix
A dominatrix is a woman who takes the dominant role in sado-masochistic sexual practices. The male equivalent is a dominant.

Dark Room
A playroom which is intentionally quite dark. Can mostly be found in the fetish scene. See also White room.

Enema
An enema is the procedure of introducing liquids into the bowel via the anus. Often used in medical play.

Fetish
A strong sexual interest in or obsession over some object, body part, or activity. Examples include foot fetish and latex fetish.
Fetish club
A fetish party is a place where people enjoy dressing up in fetish attires, meet to celebrate their fetishes and to hang out with likeminded people.

Gag
A gag is a device designed to prevent speech. This is usually done by blocking the mouth, partially or completely, or attempting to prevent the tongue, lips, or jaw from moving in the normal patterns of speech.

Gasmask
A gas mask is a mask worn on the face to protect the body from airborne pollutants and toxins. The mask may cover the eyes and other vulnerable soft tissues of the face, and will always form a sealed cover over the nose and mouth.

Gloves
A glove is a type of garment which covers the hand. Gloves have separate sheaths or openings for each finger and the thumb; if there is an opening but no covering sheath for each finger they are called "fingerless gloves". Hand garments without separate finger openings or sheaths are called "mittens".

Glued latex
Glued latex clothing is made from latex sheeting that is cut after a pattern, having the parts glued together. Quality, color and thickness can be customized to the individual.

Golden shower

Harness
Bondage apparatus consisting of a network of straps designed to form a web over a part of the body and restrict movement.

Heavy rubber
Term used about some of the hardcore latex games like Multiple Layers, Breath Control, Medical Play.

Infantilism
Role play involving infant-like behavior such as diaper wearing, nursing, etc. Some infantilism is purely regressive, without any sexual contact, while others include sexuality. Infantilism is not to be confused with paedophilia.

Sexual activity that is somehow non-traditional or exotic.

Latex
Latex, as found in nature, is the milky sap from the sap of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) and other plants.

Liquid latex
A self-drying latex substance that paints directly onto the skin or over clothing and dries in about 5-10 minutes. Used to form custom wearable rubber clothing, costumes, masks, ect.

Made to measure
A term used by latex designers there use a set of measurements, usually taken by the customers themselves, from which we can adjust the original pattern to create a customized garment with a better fit. The cost of this service variates from a fixed amount to a percentage (10-30%) of the garments base price.

Maid training - play, game
A game where the submissive learn the etiquette of service. The maid is instructed in how to walk, talk and serve to the highest standards.

Medical - play, game
Roleplay where the activities of medicine are eroticised. Typical medical play scenarios include intimate examinations, catheterization and enemas. It should be noted that attempting to carry out medical procedures without medical training and hygiene is potentially highly dangerous.

Molded latex
Molded latex is made by dipping a cast in liquid latex (often in the colors black, red and transparent), afterwards the cast are dried and then baked (vulcanized) in a oven.

Multiple layers
Term referring to wearing more that one layer of latex.

Mummification
A form of bondage where the passive part is wrapped up more or less completely

Munch
A social gathering of the fetish/BDSM community, usually in a public restaurant. Fetish wear, toys and public play is not alowed.

Polish
Agent used to shine your latex. There are many brands of polishing agents for latex dispensed on spray cans or bottles. Eksambels of brands are Cults, Black Beauty, Rubba Glow and Deviant Slick.

Pony girl, boy - play, game
Ponyplay is a form of BDSM and/or fetish playing, and role playing. In ponyplay, the slave becomes a "human pony". It is a special interest area of BDSM. It can combine bondage, discipline, Dominance and submission, even a little Sadomasochism.

Role play
In role-playing, participants adopt characters, or parts, that have personalities, motivations, and backgrounds different from their own. Role-playing is like being in an improvisational drama or free-form theatre, in which the participants are the actors who are playing parts.

Rubber
Substance made from Latex.

Rubber Ball, the
The title of the worlds biggest latex fetish party arranged by Skin Two. The Rubber Ball takes place in London on a yearly basis.

Rubberist
A Rubberist is a person with a fetish for rubber, latex or, more loosely, PVC clothing.

Shibari
Shibari (literally meaning bondage) is a Japanese style of sexual bondage or BDSM. Shibari involves tying up the bottom in intricate patterns, usually with several pieces of thin rope. Shibari differs from Western bondage in that, instead of just immobilizing or restraining the bottom, the bottom gains pleasure from being under pressure and strain of the ropes, squeezing the breasts or genitals.

Straitjacket
A straitjacket is a garment shaped like a jacket with overlong sleeves. The ends of these can be tied to the back of the wearer, so their arms are kept close to their chest with possibility of only little movement. They are used to restrain people who may otherwise cause harm to themselves and others, in hospitals for instance.

Silicone
Silicones are certain chemical compounds which consist of polymers made up of silicon-oxygen and silicon-carbon bonds. Used to shine latex. See polish.

Sensory deprivation - game, play
Sensory deprivation refers literally to the artificial deprivation of the senses – auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic.

Sadism and Masochism. See BDSM.

Strap-on, strap-on dildo
A dildo that is worn by someone, attached to a harness, so that it can be thrust into a partner like a penis.
