The Skin Two Rubber Ball is the world's premier fetish party. Established in 1992, the Rubber Ball drew people from around the world to a glamorous celebration of fetish style, with fashion shows, art performances and celebrity guests. The event is now internationally famous; it has been featured on television in Germany, Holland, France, Britain and the USA.

In recent years, the Rubber Ball has been joined by several supporting events, making a whole weekend of fetish partying. We often link up with other London clubs, to offer a varied programme lasting several days. Guests from many countries plan their visit to London months in advance.

The Skin Two Expo is a major part of the weekend - a daytime shopping fair, with over 120 specialist retailers gathered in one place. You can shop for clothes, shoes, accessories, jewellery, equipment, furniture, clubs, holidays, art, photography, books and lots more - or meet friends for coffee and a chat.

The theme for this year's Skin Two Rubber Ball is World of Fetish. Think American rubber cheerleaders, rubber kimonos, pvc lederhosen, cowboys and girls, go vintage with an old England ball gown and corset, military uniforms from around the world, middle eastern belly dancers, rubber sahris, or go dark and twisted and match your outfit for The Underworld room... The only limit is your imagination - just keep it fetish! With 7 differently themed areas, DJs, live bands, acts and a well kitted dungeon area it's a fetishists playground.

Shot on location, Project LATEX LAND completed shooting on Sunday June 17th. Eight sets were shot, featuring between 8 to 40 real latex enthusiasts set in a parallel reality populated by colourful fetishists dressed in latex from head to toe, performing regular activities. A massive undertaking to say the least involving over 70 cast and crew members and shooting in several locations throughout the city of Montreal, Canada. While being a photographic project, the whole production was very similar to a cinematographic project with several production vehicles including Coach Buses, Mobile hair & makeup suites, Catering service trucks, Grip & Lighting trucks and on and on... a veritable little Latex Army!

Artistically, PLL creators Martin Perreault and Gil Perron were well served. "the response from both the local and international community was overwhelming" says Martin. In fact, this project relied exclusively on real life latex lovers and heavy rubberists as its cast, the idea being that it was all about showing the true believers in a very different light! Gil continues: "The international response came as something of a shock, we never really revealed the contents of the concept and yet, people from all over chose to jump on a plane and spend some time with us". Indeed! People showed up from New York city to as far as Sweden and the UK! A Sweden cast member sent the following testimonial after his Latex land experience: "I made the longest journey of my life to come to Montreal and viewing back I only can say that it worth the effort. I met many wonderful people and was warmly welcomed, and I am really grateful for that."

The scenes themselves ranged wildly in flavour and settings but it was obvious that nothing was left to chance. One scene involved a large scale dinner at a fancy restaurant... and everything was perfect, from the "fake food", table settings, and over 25 friendly pervs in latex! This type of extravaganza was repeated for every scene. While Martin and Gil wish to keep the contents of the project somewhat secret until the official Premiere Exhibition August 31st 2007 during the Montreal Fetish Weekend, we can safely say that the final imagery, while being completely out of the standard fetish repertoire, will offer visuals on a scale never attempted before in the latex scene. The exhibition will offer, without a doubt, a sensational experience.

Leading British latex fashion label Libidex yesterday unveiled a new sheet latex manufacturing company called Radical Rubber.

The new London-based company is specifically geared to the needs of the latex clothing industry, offering sheet latex of fashion-grade quality to fetish fashion designers and makers all over the world.
"We believe a change in the latex sheeting supply market is long overdue", say Libidex directors Simon Rose and Nigel Walker. "We hope that Radical Rubber will serve to bring about that change."

At the moment it seems like there is no end to the line of actresses, singers and other celebrities who dress up in sexy latex fashions! They are appearing all over! In photo shoots for glittered magazines, in sexy music videos or on the red carpet, wearing expensive custom made latex dresses from leading latex designers.

Here are some examples:

• Movie actress Gabrielle Union (photo on the right) wearing a baby blue latex dress from Gaelyn & Cianfarani.
• Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger in a sexy latex dress.
• BBC TV presenter Fearne Cotton modeling in various latex fashions.
• TV actress Anna Edwards posing with guns in Maxim magazine.

Is it a positive trend or a bad omen? Has latex become another fashion gimmick? Another string to play, for those who want some extra attention? Do all that exposure makes latex fashions mainstream?

Personally, I don't think this is such a big issue. Just wait, pretty soon the latex wearing celebrities will be wearing something else. I find it hard to believe that latex could ever become mainstream. They would find it way too uncomfortable and difficult to wear! Of course, I don't agree!

The German fetish/bdsm/gothic magazine Fet-X has announced that they will start publishing a English version simultaneously with their German magazine and reach a more international readership.

The English version will be independent in terms of content and not a translation of the German issue. The English issue will be available in the UK, USA, Netherlands and France with an office in London.

The first English issue and the German issue #4 will be available on 16. July.

Found this video featuring Blowupboy, a Australian inflatable latex lover, wearing the biggest inflatable rubber suit, I have ever seen captured video! It's very funny!
Blowupboy comments: "This is a custom made inflatable rubber suit. Due to it's design inflates more like a ball, and is very even both front and back. I'm sure it could inflate alot bigger then this. But I didn't want to push it to much."

The enormous inflatable rubber latex looks amazing. I would love to try it myself, but I have to admit, I would be a little nervous that it might explode with a big bang!

Earlier this week, it was announced that acclaimed latex fashion icon Bianca Beauchamp will be present at the HYPE ENERGY tent at the upcoming Montreal F1 Grand Prix. It comes at no surprise that a full blown WEB AD Campaign was to follow!

A photo shoot was recently setup at Montreal's Blah Blah Studio where Martin Perreault conducted the shoot of Bianca Beauchamp dressed up in a custom made HYPE latex catsuit designed from Montreal's latex designer Mario Bouchard of Polymorphe.

A 5 minute Behind The Scenes video of Bianca Beauchamp and Michele Levesque in latex action during the photo shoot can be watched on YouTube. The results: stunning & sultry imagery with today's edge in fashion and sex appeal.

When one thinks of sexy videogame heroines, there is one name that always springs up: Lara Croft.

For the release of Tomb Raider: Anniversary, game publisher Eidos dug up most of the previous flesh and blood Lara Croft models, decked them out in shining black latex suits and flattering lighting, then paid them to stand side-by-side for your gawking pleasure. Very nice!

IGN's got the exclusive pics of the Lara reunion, with one Lara, the semi-successful Rhona Mitra noticeably absent.

Update: It was Bondinage who supplied the costumes for this shoot. They been working with Eidos for 10 years!
