In the last few years Latex has grown to popular heights in high-end fashion markets and as celebrity garments of choice. Not just for the bespoke fetish customer, the designs are now being sold in high street department stores such as Selfridges.
Currently in her 4th year of Business Amy Day AKA Am Statik, Winner of this year’s European Fetish Fashion Award has produced the ultimate latex wedding dress that is a sure fire WOW factor for any wedding. This will be presented to the public for the first time at the new alternative wedding fair this Sunday 8th September 2013.
Elegant in its design the Ivory latex dress consists of a flowing mermaid skirt with button effect snap detail, an across the shoulder 3/4 sleeve top which gives it a soft vintage feel and a tight lacing corset for a more extreme figure, with corded and beaded lace around the edges. All finished with hand made flowers, latex bouquet and crystal flower veil.
Amy said: “I wanted to create something that would make the wearer feel extraordinary, inspired by elements of midsummer nights dream and vintage touches, I have taken a modern and more taboo material and created something I feel would suit and delight many brides on a day they want to remember having felt uniquely amazing forever”.
An example of pricing for this dress is approximately £2,000, with elements of the dress being able to be broken down and adjusted so you can reuse pieces of it after your special day. With corsets ranging from £250, lace detail skirts from £200 and floral bouquets from £100, Am Statik caters to large scale full outfits or elements of latex combined with a current dress choice. Simply adding a latex bouquet or hair piece gives a special something to modern and vintage styles.
